We are a World War II Waffen SS online reenactment military organisation. We play the mod for Battlefield 1942 - Forgotten Hope, Battlefield 2 and Red Orchestra however when Forgotten Hope 2 is released for Battlefield 2 this is where the division will fight. Our goal is to make the ingame on the battlefield as realistic as possible. What you find here, you will find nowhere else, it is unique.
The mission of the 8.SS Freiwilliegen Kavallerie Division is to achieve a high battle rating sucess through organised unit co-operation, training and strategic planning. We accept all those who are dedicated, co-operative and obey orders. If you feel that you cannot be co-operative or follow orders, the 8.SS Freiwilliegen Kavallerie Division is not for you. Our divisional politics may seem strict at times. With silliness comes a general lack of respect, teamwork and total silliness do not go together.
Wherever possible we try to employ dated German tactics that reflect the style and maneuvers of 60 years ago in these virtual environments.
The 8.SS is always seeking high skilled, highly motivated individuals.

Victory at Berezina!

After a long and hard battle, our unit managed to seize White Russia in the name of the Fatherland! At first we managed to capture the area, though with a high casualty rate. However, the Soviets managed to capture the area back again in a clever and deceiving counter attack. This was a temporary set back and within ten minutes we had employed Blitzkrieg tactics and managed to secure the area with minimal casualties. After that event the Russians retreated immediately and White Russia was ours! For their excellent marksmanship, both Jensen and Kobel have been awarded the marksmanship badge. Heinrich has been awarded the Iron Cross 1st Class, the Wound Badge, the Tank Assualt Badge. Mohr has been awarded the Iron Cross 2nd Class, Reinhard has been awarded the Tank Destruction Badge, Rondorf the Driving Badge, Amherst the Infantry Assualt Badge, and is promoted to Sturmann. Both Wulf and Ritter received the Blitz medal.

After Battle Promotions!

After the successful defense of the Romanian/Hungarian border in the villages of Arad, the 8th SS was taken down to an abandoned refugee bunker, which had been captured and outfitted for the Germans. Once there we were incredibly surprised to find that our glorious Furher Herr Hitler had flown in all the way from Berlin to congratulate us on our phenomenal work on the Eastern Front. Needless to say we were honored by this event, and it shows the skill of our great unit! H!

Promotions!

As all of you know, a few weeks ago, former RO leader Jensen resigned from his position, and we were left without a leader. Then amongst the chaos, three individuals stood up and were chosen for some very important roles. Unterscharführer Bottcher has been given the chance to prove himself as Exo. of the Red Orchestra division, Unterscharführer Wittmann is now commander of the Red Orchestra division, and Rottenfuhrer Heinrich has been put in charge of the Panzer Division. Good luck to all, and let us all pray for the success of the 8th SS! H!

Ustuf. Jensen Resigned!

After six months as Red Orchestra leader on both the Eastern Front and the Western Front, Ustuf. Jensen has resigned from his position as RO. leader. Although his service was controversial and very much debated, Jensen was known as the 8th SS Red Orchestra Division leader, and now has decided to retire as a Sturmmann, and will be shipped off to the Western Front. With no current leader, the 8th SS Red Orchestra Division is left without a leader, so further updates will follow.

Franziska and Ludwig Executed!

Several days ago, for those of you who have not heard yet, our recent Staffelbewerbers Franziska and Ludwig were taken outside approximately twenty meters from the barracks and forced to dig trenches, when that was finished, they were shot and killed. The reason for their execution is because of their refusal to attend our trainings and battles and for the chaos and disruption they caused. After being warned many times by the offizieres, and continuing to disrupt events, they started the events that led to their execution. Let this be a warning to all who plan to disrupt the organization we have at the 8th SS, you will face the consequences.

Double Victory for the Glorious SS!

June 28th, 1942.
On the outskirts of Western Russia, our reconnaissance units spotted an heavily guarded enemy bunker, covered by trenches to its south, and ruins to its north. We quickly came up with a plan and put it into action. Our driver and leader Standatenfurher Von Ritter quickly charged into the ruins with one of our halftracks and dropped off half our squad who quickly and effortlessly took out all enemy opposition, followed by a quick rush across the mountain to the trenches where we again encountered limited opposition and managed to secure the position easily. The squad quickly regrouped at the halftrack and assaulted the bunker. Although much better defended than the other positions, the bunker fell quite easily and within seconds we had captured it.
July 8th, 1942
Following the quick and decisive victory of the Allied bunker, the 8th SS was ready for another battle to push the Soviets back even further! This battle would be decided on the soil of Western Russia in the village of Bondarevo. If this battle was successful it would start the drive towards the Caucasian oil fields, and thus was a very important objective. The battle was taken by a quick Blitzkrieg, the infantry squad, led by Sturrmann Herger charged the Western Farm (a crucial point as it secured a clear view of the main village) with a halftrack and without suffering any casualties managed to clear it out of all enemy forces. The way to the village was secured, and the Panzer unit, led by Standatenfurher Von Ritter drove into it mercilessly, managing to capture it before the enemy had even realized what was going on! Another glorious victory for the 8th SS! H!

Today, Hauptscharfuhrer Nietzel honourably resigned after many years of faithful service. Your presence in the clan will be sorely missed.
On a sadder note, Karl von Roques has been executed for dereliction to duty.

| Battle report 19/03 - 2007 |
Battlereport from the front:
The date was 18/03 - 2007 when the divisions 8.SS 'Florian Geyer' and K18 clashed in to different battles.
The first battle was over the village of Ogledow and the surrounding area.
1. Engagement
The surrounding area around Ogledow quickly found itself in the hands of the SS, while the Russians heavy tank dominated the less vital center part off the map. The battle was fierce, but after a very succesfull counter attack at the center by Standartenführer von Ritter and Obersturmführer Benz. The tide was really turned and the Russians had nowhere to go but to fall back to the village of Ogledow itself. Ogledow was then captured after an all out assault on the Russian positions around the village.
2. Engagement
This time the Russian strategy was different and they charged up the center map to try to gain the upper hand at the more or less unsuspecting soldiers of the Florian Geyer. But as the last time the area around Ogledow was firmly in Russian hands after the succesfull infanty bypassing of the tanks. While the tanks engaged each other in the center of the map, the infantry lead by Oberschütze Reins attacked Ogledow, supported by tank after the successful Blitz in the center. Oberschütze Wulf could after the city was taken account for 7 different tank kills with his trusty Panzerfausts.
Second Battle was in the Black Sea city of Odessa.
1. Engagement
The 8.SS was then once again faced with the familiar Russian uniform of the K18 division. And as the last engineer brigade was leaving the city after constructing very successful fortifying of the city center. The Russians showed them self, and assaulted the Apartments at once, wave after wave of Russians charging at the apartments. Schütze Lythjohan was making a heroic effort using his MG 42 at the advancing Russians. However it was not enough and when they got in close with their PPSH sub-machinegun the apartments was soon lost. They then advanced in the same fashion eager to take the Gresckhya square. And after a serious firefight with massive losses for both sides the Florian Geyer were forced to retreat. For the rest of the engagement the Russians struggled to take the Tower building, since they had previously captured the 8.SS HQ. Charging across open ground they took too many casualties to be able to take the last German stronghold in the city.
2. Engagement
The first faces was a exact copy of the last engagements. The German positions fell one by one until the HQ was the only remaining position. The problem with this is that it was a extremely difficult position to defend for the 8.SS 'Florian Geyer' and as in previous engagement the «Human wave» tactic was used. Again Schütze Lythjohan did an amazing job with the MG-42. But the Russians were too many and the engagement was lost.
3. Engagement
The battle lines were drawn up after the rapid infiltration and capture by the Russians towards the apartments and Gresckhya square. The Florian Geyer was as determined as only SS soldier can be, not to let this city fall to the Russians. Under the Standartenführer von Ritters lead the HQ was bravely defended but it was taken by fearsome attacks by the Russians. The tower was however held, under Sturmmann Jensens command the tower was held until reinforcements was brought up by Obersturmführer Benz. Benz then took control over the defense and lead the 8.SS to another glorious victory.

Scheller got promoted to Oberschütze
Wulf got promoted to Sturmmann
Lythjohan got Maschinengewhere qualifications for exemplary skill with the MG-42
Zossen got the baptism of fire and is promoted to Schütze
Jensen got accepted as leader of the Panzergrenadier regiment
